THE MOON’S MYSTERIESpost : 278=====================The first step on the moon by astronaut Neil Armstrong was said to be “one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” But for many of the twelve men who’ve been there, that “one small step” completely changed the way they saw the world. Some returned feeling as if they’d experienced enlightenment. Others spent the years following their lunar exploration depressed and hiding from the press. Some say that those quiet astronauts saw things the others hadn’t – secret things that they were asked to cover up.
After stepping on the moon, Buzz Aldrin’s life fell apart. He went into a deep depression. His marriage of 21 years ended. He remarried and was divorced again within two years. He became an alcoholic. Within a few years, the former astronaut found himself selling used cars to make a living. When approached by the press, he seemed agitated and reluctant to share details of his mission.

Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon, is also said to have been reclusive and possibly withdrawn. He also frustrated interviewers with his refusals and extremely private nature.
Many people have wondered why they would struggle after such an achievement. Some believe it was because the entire moon landing was a hoax. Some think they saw proof of alien life but it was kept quiet. Buzz did say in one interview that he observed a light moving alongside the ship. Others think that Buzz was just jealous at being the second man on the moon and Neil had always been quiet. We may never know because NASA erased the original moon landing footage.

Whatever caused their depression, the truth is that there are many oddities about the moon. It has been a source of fascination since the dawn of humanity. Many ancient peoples worshipped it as a god or told legends about it. The Zulu tribe of Africa, for example, tells of two alien brothers who towed the moon into place and gave us the rhythms of the Earth.
Even today, its mysteries tantalize our minds. For example, the moon is 400 times smaller than the sun and 400 times closer to the Earth. Because of this mysterious coincidence, when the moon passes in front of the sun during an eclipse, the moon completely blocks the much bigger sun.
Yet scientists say that if the moon were not as it is, life may not have evolved past the sea. The moon affects the tides, and the tides made it possible for some sea creatures to reach land, where they eventually evolved into land animals.
Robotic landers sent by billionaires looking to mine the moon for gold and other resources are slated to begin as early as 2020. Perhaps some of its secrets will be revealed then.

Importance of forest🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳"Trees are like saints -We throw stones, they give us fruits ".Forests form an important part of the ecological system. The need to preserve forests and grow more trees is often stressed upon. Forest is a huge expanse covered with trees. There are different types of forests across the world. These have been categorized based on their types of soil, trees and other species of flora and fauna. A large part of earth is covered with forests. It is true that trees are a great boon to mankind. They are quite connected with human life. It is common knowledge that plants exhale oxygen and inhale carbon dioxide. They also absorb other greenhouse gases that are harmful for the atmosphere. Trees and forests thus help in purifying the air we breathe as well as the atmosphere as a whole. They also keep the temperature down and soil fertile. Trees are our natural wealth so we must not cut them down. We should not let anyone cut down a tree. Different types of forests grow in different parts of the world. These are mainly divided into three categories – Rain Forests, Coniferous Forests and Deciduous Forests. Forests form an important part of the ecological system mainly because they aids majorly in biodiversity. A large number of birds and animals survive only because of the presence of forests. However, unfortunately forests are being cut at a rapid speed to serve various purposes. The increase in the demand of various commodities derived from the trees that grow in different forests and the need to accommodate the growing population are among the major reasons for deforestation. It is important to realise that forests are essential for the survival of the mankind. Forests help in purifying the atmosphere, aid in climate control, act as natural watershed and are a source of livelihood for many people. Forests must thus be preserved. Deforestation is a global issue and effective measures must be taken to control this issue. If we cut down trees, our life will be in danger. Without trees, the soil is washed away and the land loses its fertility. The desert are expanding and birds and animals are dying.Trees give us fruits, vegetable, flowers, gum, rubber, medicine etc. They also gibe us wood for fuel; paper is also made from the tree. Timber is also used to build houses and make furniture. Forests serve as a home for numerous species of wild animals and birds. These are thus a great means to maintain biodiversity which is extremely essential for maintaining a healthy environment.Thus, we must understand the value of the trees. It is good matter that the government has realized the importance of trees. So a tree plantation programme know as"Van Mahotsav"is held every year. Women Empowerment❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Women Empowerment refers to strengthening the social, economic and educational powers of women. It refers to an environment where there is no gender bias and has equal rights in community, society and workplaces.
Women empowerment is very important because the population of women is around 50% of the total population of the world. They have every right to be treated equally with men in every sphere of life and society. The empowerment of women would result in overall development of society both at micro and macro level. Active participation of women in economic activities and decisions, would contribute towards overall economic development.
But there are many challenges/barriers regarding women empowerment. Because of the inherent superiority complex among the males, they often don't allow their female counter-part to rise as high as them. There is high level of domestic responsibilities. There are high restrictions to participate in social, economic and religious activities. In our society, the boy-child often gets preference for education and healthy diet over the girl-child. Some people prefer male-child over girl and this still exists among many families in the society.
If there is a problem, then there always be solutions regarding women empowerment. Education through mass communication is very important. Both women and men should be made aware of their responsibilities to promote and practice gender-equality. We should gather national data and identify the areas where incidents of violence and gender- inequality are the most. This data can be used by the Government, NGOs and field workers to raise the status of women. The society should be made aware that both boy-child and girl-child are equal, and they both should have equal access to resources.

Pronoun-antecedent agreement --- 17==============================👉🏻A pronoun is a word used to refer to a noun mentioned earlier in the text. This noun is called the antecedent of the pronoun.
🔹Sonal is a pretty girl. She also sings well. (Pronoun – she; antecedent – Sonal)

🔎Note that the pronoun must agree with its antecedent in number and person. That means if the antecedent is a singular noun, then the pronoun used to refer to it, too, should be singular in number.

🔶Problem points
The indefinite pronouns anybody, everyone, anyone, someone, somebody, no one, and nobody are always singular.
The pronouns either and neither are also singular.
The need for pronoun-antecedent agreement doesn’t create any problems when the gender is clearly specified.
🔹Shailesh works hard. He will pass.

🔷But when the sex of the person is not mentioned, finding a pronoun that agrees with its antecedent can be difficult.
The following sentence, for example, shows gender bias.
🔹A student must hand in his assignment before the end of this month.

◾️Here the noun student can refer to both boys and girls and hence there is no justification for using pronoun his.

*️⃣One solution is to pluralize.
🔹Students must hand in their assignments before the end of this month.
*️⃣Or you can say:
🔹A student must hand in his/her assignment before the end of the month.

🔖However, if you use the expression ‘his or her’ too many times, the effect can be ridiculous.
Instead, many writers now prefer using the pronoun they/their.
🔹Somebody has left their umbrella behind.
🔖More natural than ‘Somebody has left his or her umbrella behind.’
